- Upper management doesn’t care about employees - Repeating for emphasis - upper management really doesn’t care about you, and if they do, it’s because you probably don’t care about the employees either and drank too much of the cult kool-aid - Disappointing benefits that are far below sub par for the industry - The customers you help make way more than you when they could be wholly inexperienced compared to you - The Covid-19 response was laughable at best. Epic was truly negligent and didn’t care to express concern for its employees until someone leaked emails to the media, but of course said person got passive aggressively torn up in an internal response from upper management, and we were all warned with something along the lines of “keep this up and we won’t share anything with you anymore” - Repeating for emphasis, the COVID-19 response was absolutely awful and downright deplorable for a healthcare company. It truly showed how little employees were cared for and how disposable we were seen as. There is a lot more I can say on the topic, but I’ll leave it to the plenty other reviews pouring in about the circus that was the COVID response. - New grads and those tight for cash especially, please look at other options. I know how tempting this “decent” salary could look, and I know how tempting the thought of a stable income and stable position is, but you are worth so much more than putting yourself through this workplace. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this workplace to anyone anymore, no matter how dire their situation might be. It’s really just not worth it.
