Infosys was a great opportunity for a recent college grad. They are a big company and I ended up spending 6 months in a very nice campus in India, and this was an amazing experience that I'd recommend to any post-college job seeker. Pay and benefits were comparable to other job offers I had received, and way higher then the averages for liberal arts majors who also were hired on for their training program. The company has vast resources and well stocked information libraries and references. It is a good name to have under your belt and it is certainly an international experience.
Minpunten
Infosys is plagued with bureaucracy. Because it is a large company, one often feels like a number rather than a person. All too often, coworkers do not recognize the difference between knowing something and knowing of something. Even though my position was Software Engineer after the initial training I would be placed in a business analyst role. This is not what I went to school for and there is little room for non Indians to practice their technical skills. Having history, business, and com majors fill the same position as CS grads and calling them all software engineers is slightly demoralizing from a bachelor of Science's perspective.
