Pluspunten

Open environment. No offices. Allows to bring your dog to work everyday. Casual dress code.

Minpunten

Very political. Technical decisions made by non-technical associates. Food microbiologists are not valued or heard. Responses to emails or requests is dependent on person's title (upper management don't reply to lower level associates). Upper management is arrogant, political, and disrespectful. HR and managers don't take actions when needed, even when associates are harassing others. Company allows some associates to be complainers and abuse the system. Horrible upper management and HR (P&O) associates who aren't trained on how to lead.

Slow decision making. High ratio of recruitment of Sr. Leaders from external companies conflicting with culture.

Pluspunten

I’ve been at Mars (Yorkville site) for about three months as a Quality Systems Senior Specialist, and so far it’s been a great experience. Everyone has been genuinely friendly, welcoming, and willing to help. The culture feels very supportive—people want to see you succeed and are quick to share knowledge and offer guidance. My manager has been amazing and is truly invested in my growth. She’s helped set clear expectations, encouraged development, and provided the tools and support I need to be successful.

None so far—still new, but my experience has been very positive.
