Pluspunten

Location. Pay. Benefits are great.

Minpunten

Associates and I were given a deadline to obtain our licenses and if not obtained by said date then we would be terminated. We paid for the exam out of our own pockets and it took on average every employee about five tries until passing and would not be reimbursed. That's a few hundred dollars of our hard working pay going to something that only benefits the company, not the associates. There is no incentive; no pay raise/bonus. Just a licensed adjuster to keep our current position with the company. We were told verbally that the license would need to be obtained during initial interviews. In previous years the auto and home department of MetLife did not stress this and many associates would adjust claims for years not being licensed. Unfortunately, many of us now are suffering passing the exam and now have been given our "final warning" and terminations are beginning. It makes coming into the office everyday extremely difficult. Knowing how disposable you are and invaluable is no where I'd like to work. I came to MetLife 6 years ago and have had a wonderful ride and was excited for my MetLife career. I truly am disappointed this is how my ride ends.

Remote work and flex time.

Unrealistic workloads, constantly changing process for promotions, limited cross departmental communication or accountability, career stagnation in some departments, employees rated on bell curves for annual reviews.
