Pluspunten
Like anywhere, the life as an employee depends mostly on the management, and mainly the direct manager. For me, this part was ok and, from what I've heard, it is ok in Nokia in the majority of cases with some exceptions. Salary-wise, they are below the market with declared target to be 15% below the market average. In compensation, they have a significant amount of benefits guaranteed through the Collective Labour Agreement, for which the local Trade Union, SITT, must be thanked. Examples: Christmas & Easter bonuses exceeding "the 13th salary" together; partial reimbursement for: transport, bicycle purchase, sport, kindergarten; meal tickets and gift tickets; additional vacation days with seniority in the company, social aids for child birth and relative's death. Working time flexibility - teleworking is in force for a few days per week, depending on the team and job. Overtime, nightwork, shifts, on-call are all compensated as per law and CLA wherever applicable. No illegalities in the area of Health and Safety. There are career opportunities, as it is a dynamic company.
Minpunten
Salary - targeted to be 15% below the market average. Complex processes and tools that every employee needs to know, as they are related to HR, payroll, vacation, expenses, time management etc. Not including here the specific job-related tools. Rather slow employee problem solving, when a problem arises. Minimum transparency (at the limit of legal obligation) when it comes to employee-affecting changes like restructuring/reorganization.
