Nice colleagues, excellent secondary benefits, good location.

Minpunten

MD is spineless. Only cares about tech, not about company culture and morale. Same goes for the executive board. Absolutely useless and only interested in their own status. C-level gets away with everything. HR is a joke. In case of conflict the more senior position will always prevail. If you speak up you end up tarnished.

We are very sorry to hear that you had a negative working experience with us. Our organisational values are focused on our people, and we have launched several initiatives over the past few years to celebrate our diverse company culture. This includes leadership development, but also training of our staff on acceptable behaviour and an organisation-wide code of conduct. Even though 95% of our staff reported having a good working relationship with their manager in our last employee survey, we appreciate that conflict can arise in the workplace. Therefore, in 2023, we brought in different mechanisms to cater for constructive resolution of such incidents, and we continue to promote a culture where staff feel safe to speak up and share their opinions. We acknowledge that there’s always room for improvement, and we work relentlessly to make sure that we are inclusive and caring to our employees. Many thanks for your review, we are happy to hear you have learnt a lot as an intern. As a company, we find it important to offer learning opportunities for students. Unfortunately, we cannot always hire an intern at the end of the internship. However, when an intern makes a good impression, we will still consider hiring them once they finish with their studies and there is a relevant position advertised.

Pluspunten

Werken bij RIPE NCC voelt zinvol, omdat de organisatie een duidelijke visie heeft om de toekomst van het internet vorm te geven. Het werk is vaak uitdagend maar lonend, en biedt een gevoel van doelgerichtheid en professionele groei. Een goede balans tussen technische uitdagingen en het ontbreken van buitensporige commerciële druk. Ondersteunende en inclusieve werkomgeving met een focus op samenwerking en innovatie.

Minpunten

De organisatiestructuur verandert elke 2-3 jaar, omdat het management experimenteert en zich aanpast. Hoewel dit met goede bedoelingen gebeurt, kan het voor sommigen enigszins verontrustend aanvoelen. Aanpassingsvermogen is de sleutel, omdat de evoluerende structuur vereist dat werknemers flexibel blijven en openstaan voor verandering.
