My personal experience with Cigna’s TECDP program was subpar and not what it was advertised to be. The program allows you 3 rotations, 1 of which I had no manager for an entire rotation and the other 2 I was passed around to a new manager almost every other month (5 new managers in total). A rotational program is supposed to be an enriching experience for your career, and aside from maybe the last 3 months of my time in the program, I wasted my time and learned absolutely nothing. This is a shared experience across the board that I’d say maybe 70% of TECDPs experience. With that being said, there are a handful of caring managers in the program but they are rare. The TECDPs who had great experiences with their managers and team typically go on to finish the program, stay at Cigna, and get promoted. Take the risk if you want but beware!
