I was reached out by a recruiter for an open position at AFS. I asked for the job description and moved forward with an initial screening call. Had a zoom call with the recruiter where we talked about the role and my qualifications for it. All in all, it went really well and she was very nice. Then radio silence. I just never heard anything back. I followed up with the recruiter and didn't hear back until after my second follow up attempt. I finally reached out to the head recruiter who reached out to me in the first place and she said that AFS hiring director had been out, but I will hear back in a week. Never heard anything from them and I just stopped following up. AFS if you are reading this, I would suggest that you find a new recruiting company. It feels like they just waste people's time so that they can provide better metrics and show value. I would be hesitant if a random recruiter reaches out about working here.
