The first step was to conduct a skills lab challenge, which was a three day assessment in their lab environment. I spent the next three days conducting my assessment and writing a report of my findings. After submitting the report on the third day, I received no acknowledgement of receipt. I reached out a week later, and the hiring manager confirmed receiving the report and that he would reach out with next steps. I never received an update after that point from him nor from the recruiter I was initially interacting with. I took three days of my personal time to perform the assessment, and delivered a professional 40+ page report and was ghosted. I suspect they had no intention of hiring, and did not have the professionalism to follow up with the applicant in light of the amount of effort that was put in.
