Two parts: Behavorial & Technical Behavorial - study typical STAR questions that are widely available online. I recommend you to think of example situations beforehand so you don't panic during the interview. Expect follow up questions based on your responses. Technical - fundamental chemical engineering knowledge from university. Study on common equipment like heat exchanger*, distillation column* and reactor. You should know (i) drawing, (ii) underlying principles & basic equations, (iii) key components/parts and (iv) troubleshooting problems associated with the equipment. In the context of troubleshooting, you should know what are some common issues and actions to resolve them. You can get these online. Overall, my experience was quite smooth. Interviewers were kind and friendly.
Very chill experience, felt like a get to know you conversation with the managers who were very nice, mainly asked standard behavioural questions like Why ExxonMobil, asked about your resume
The interview was in person, 1 hour, one on one. It was overwhelming at first but the interviewer was really nice. It was difficult to make a connection with her though,
- talked to the engineers at career fair, they treated it as the first round of interview
- managed to get to the final round
- mostly behaviourial and fit questions
