Different modeling languages are UML, BPMN, IDEF, EPC ... Each of them has unquie way of representation/ syntax / symbols. UML- depicts software intensive artificats, more related to SDLC and IT processes. BPMN- is graphical presentation to illustrated business processes with all lot symbols for differents elements. IDEF- functional modeling of processes, which talks more of controls, people involved, system involved.
