We've achieved the Silver TIDE assessment award for diversity and inclusion! We’re delighted to achieve a Silver TIDE (Talent, Inclusion and Diversity Evaluation) Award in our first year submitting an assessment. It’s part of our membership package with ONVERO (formerly the Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion). It measures an organisation’s work and strategies in adopting diversity and inclusion across a number of key areas. Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lisa Govier said: “We achieved an overall score of 79%, assessed as being at the ‘working at embedding’ level. We’re one of only a very small handful of social care organisations to have been granted an award this year, scoring particularly highly in the categories of: • Leadership (91%) • Wellbeing and Belonging (91%) • and Employee Voice and Engagement (89%). Soon, a feedback session with ONVERO will help us identify areas to focus on in order to become more equal, inclusive and diverse.

Equality and diversity statement Discovery’s Equality and Diversity vision demonstrates commitment to ensuring all colleagues and people we support are treated fairly and with respect. We strongly believe in promoting equality, celebrating diversity and ensuring inclusion – for the people we support, our colleagues and wider society. This short film features a number of colleagues and showcases our central belief about equality and diversity – that the Dimensions group values me, as me. The video seeks to emphasise that everyone with the right values is welcome to work in the Group, regardless of where they come from, what they believe, who they love or what their personal situation might be.

We are a Level 3 Disability Confident Leader! A Level 3 Disability Confident Leader is an organisation that has gone beyond simply being a good employer of disabled people and is actively championing disability confidence within their wider local and business communities. To achieve this level, an organisation must have completed the Level 2 Disability Confident Employer process, then undergone external validation of their self-assessment, provided a leadership narrative demonstrating ongoing commitment, confirmed employment of disabled people, and committed to publicly reporting on disability, mental health, and wellbeing.
Dimensions responds to Skills For Care’s annual workforce report. “All parts of the sector, as well as national government, need to play their part in paying the social care workforce as much as possible, and recognising the significant value their social care workforce brings.”
