Leuke collega's, succesvol merk en goede software. Arbeidsvoorwaarden zijn goed op orde. Kleine organisatie met korte lijntjes

Minpunten

Bedrijf wordt erg Amerikaans gemanaged. Meerdere ontslagrondes terwijl de resultaten goed zijn. Erg financieel gedreven.

I used to be proud of working for Collibra, even felt privileged, not shy of showing off Collibra great in public. There were great people to work with, everybody was enthusiast. Pay and other benefits were above average in my case, maybe I was put in a golden cage...

Minpunten

But the last 2 years or so, I've seen too much change and unfortunately not for the better. Too much politics, too corporate... Many changes at top positions, each person bringing in their own people, getting rid of competent people who already showed their value. Yearly layoffs doesn't do any good for the overall morale, I saw a lot of fatigue over all levels and teams.

I worked at this company for a significant period, and I must say that it was a deeply disappointing experience. There are several glaring issues that need to be addressed: Lackluster Leadership: The company is suffering from a severe leadership crisis. The decisions made by the top brass have been questionable, to say the least. It's evident that the leadership is out of touch with the workforce and the reality of the market. Their inability to steer the company in the right direction has had detrimental effects on the company's culture and overall success. Favoritism Runs Rampant: It's disheartening to see that growth opportunities are primarily reserved for a chosen few, often based on personal preferences rather than merit. This favoritism not only undermines the morale of hardworking employees but also hampers the company's potential to thrive and innovate. A fair and equitable system for professional development is desperately needed. International Bias: The company's preferential treatment of employees from certain regions, in this case, US citizens, while neglecting others, especially Europeans, is simply unjust. It creates a toxic atmosphere of division and discrimination within the workplace. Equality and fairness should be universal principles, regardless of an employee's place of origin. Existential Crisis: From an insider's perspective, it is evident that the company is in the midst of an existential crisis that, if not addressed promptly, may lead to its downfall. The instability and uncertainty that this engenders make it a challenging environment to work in. Repression of Dissent: The company's punitive approach to employees who dare to ask valid, challenging questions is not only stifling but also detrimental to its growth. A healthy organization encourages open dialogue, constructive criticism, and the exchange of ideas. This company's current culture suppresses all these vital elements. Silent Layoffs and HR Policies: The absence of transparent HR policies and the reliance on silent layoffs as a "normal" practice have sowed distrust among employees. Transparency in such matters is crucial for maintaining a positive work environment. In conclusion, my time at this company was marked by disillusionment and frustration. The numerous issues I've mentioned have taken a toll on the company's culture and have sown seeds of doubt about its future. It is imperative for the leadership to take immediate action to address these concerns if they wish to turn the tide and regain the trust and dedication of their employees.
