Management has a very short term vision, so their focus is on doing lots of stuff instead of doing meaningful stuff. This translates into absolutely no job security for the workers since they see them as short term tools (be ready to be sacked at any given time with no consideration or proper notice) in addition, because of this short term thinking they expect you to work long hours but are not clear about doing what exactly and care very little about the result of your work.
