Pluspunten
After the “merger”, which was really an acquisition of Q by IMS, the only marginal pro is the ability to WFH in most roles. That’s not really anything unique to most ClinOps companies, however. The company has discretionary leave, but even that has been an issue since management refuses to approve extended vacations due to “business need”.
Minpunten
From a ClinOps perspective, the biggest con has been the constant focus placed on metrics. With Q, the culture was focused on patients, but IQVIA’s focus is on money. Management is solely interested in revenues and cost-cutting and as an employee, I feel more like a number than ever. Every email from management is about an upcoming business review...no praise, only metrics. The R&DS group has lost its way with regard to quality and management does nothing in response to field employees voicing concerns. The CEO is dead-set on his mission to lean everything out in the way of revenues, which has materialized through outsourcing and low body count with resourcing, making workloads extremely high for those who remain. You can forget about work-life balance. There has been constant degradation of benefits and nearly all perks have been removed. High performance is not rewarded here and merit increases and bonuses are non-existent despite record revenues. Salaries are well below market values especially for experienced staff. Another major problem has been the IT infrastructure...they have everything so locked down now that it is difficult to do my job, and help is difficult since it’s all been outsourced overseas. Overall, I have no tangible reason to recommend this company and it’s really sad what management has turned it into.
