Pluspunten
- A plus could be that one of Ordina's offices is located in Utrecht, the center of the Netherlands, and thus can be reached somehow easily. However, you, as a contractor and employee of Ordina, will do the main part of your work in the most remote places, at the offices of Ordina's customers.
Minpunten
- You work at remote places and make long days Chances are you will end up working for a customer way far from where you live. Your time spent in traffic is not paid, is NOT considered as work, is not compensated unless it is more than 3 hours per day. So you will be on your job about 11.30 hours per day. Almost half of your day, or even longer. - Salary is incredibly low A somewhat experienced Engineer will get a bit less than 2.000 net/month, which is very low for a 40 hour week + 15 hrs traffic Ordina gives you the possibility to sell part of your holidays to the company. So if you sell 4 or 5 of your free days, you might wind up with a reasonable salary, but only having about 20 days free a year. And do keep in mind that your time will be monitored very, very accurately. - No room to grow In Ordina you can get courses to learn some interesting technologies. But sadly, most of the courses are organised by the employees of Ordina themselves, who are learning the technologies themselves, and not by experienced teachers. - Company is not lenient or tolerant with regards to your free time Even when you have so little time free, you will have to take courses 'offered' by the company in your own time during the week AFTER you have worked at the customer. So on a day when you get a training, you will be 11.30 hrs + 3 hrs on the job. Without getting any compensation regarding your time. Instead of the company saying e.g.: "Let's give our employees half a day, so they can have a training". So, besides having little time off, you are expected to sacrifice that little time for the company. - Lower "management" and salespeople are inexperienced - Your contract states more or less that ANY initiative of the employee, you, IS OWNED by Ordina. Yes. Read that contract carefully. - If you want to start for yourself, after Ordina, Ordina will make that very much impossible. Yet you might have a chance: read about 'WADI-regeling'. And again, read that contract carefully, if you are thinking of signing it, and don't agree with this type of outrageous terms. Of course, there might be people who have the luck of living in Utrecht, and having a customer in Utrecht, for the whole time they work for Ordina.
