Pluspunten

WLB People pact Benefits and RSUs

Minpunten

Job satisfaction in terms of the actual work being performed. Very low bar, to the point that you'd be frustrated for not being allowed to contribute or not being encouraged to solve certain level of technically complex challenges. Internal politics within the team - Almost no-one has any idea of what is going on at a technical level, yet a lot of surface level showboating [which actually helps you achieve monetary growth, in this particular team at least] - If you can kiss up, you'll considered an excellent candidate and your manager will make sure you get good visibility irrespective of your technical/domain knowledge. One cannot directly disagree with their seniors here. Even though they might be wrong at some point, you will have to wait for the senior to realize it himself and take action. But people often are willing to take these bargains in exchange for the WLB and perks. So, there you go.

Pluspunten

ServiceNow had a differentiated platform and products. Early on the culture had a startup energy that was rare for a company this size collaborative teams, ownership, and a sense that people actually cared about outcomes. Working with large enterprise customers on complex workflows was interesting work.

Minpunten

The ServiceNow I joined was a different company. As headcount increased, so did the bureaucracy, layers, and friction that rewarded politics over execution. The layoffs of the last few years were handled poorly little transparency, inconsistent communication, and decisions that felt made far above with little thought for the people affected. The "cost optimization" messaging rang hollow against continued executive spending. For a company that sells workflow and people process tools, the irony of a chaotic RIF wasn't lost on anyone in the field or on customers. Leadership political dynamics were real. The right team, the right manager you had cover. Performance alone didn't protect you.
