It was important to fit in the company culture, then the relevant experience. I was interviewed by almost everyone on the team. Most of the questions were standard and repetitive, but over all positive.

I applied as an employee referral and was contacted right away. I had a phone screen with the recruiter and hiring manager, both of which seemed to go very well. I was told that I would hear back from the recruiter at the end of the call with the HM. The day after my call with the HM, I checked the company website and saw that the position was no longer available. I waited another day to give them a chance to follow up with me to let me know that they were not moving forward, but they did not. I checked in with the recruiter and was told that the team had decided to go in a different direction. Based on her response, it was clear that they never intended to follow up with me and let me know their decision, even though I was an employee referral and had two phone calls. In my opinion, this is very poor communication and a sub-par recruiting experience.

The process was smooth and quick although it took a 3 recruiters to set up 3 interviews. The entire process took 3 weeks. The primary recruiter does avoid email communication. The phone interview was conducted on time and lasted 30 mins. Then, i got set up for another phone interview with the hiring manager. Finally, the onsite interview with almost the entire team took 3 hours plus a test. I think the test should be done verbally and some questions should be phrased differently so that the candidate can have the chance to ask question. They were nice and super casual. You can they are very tight good. I also see they can be picky on who they pick. They want to pick the best and fits really well with the team but with their wants, salary offer and the level of competence they are looking for. It will be hard. Lastly, I received a template email from the recruiter about moving on with another candidate. I thought that was a bit insincere considering the candidate took the time. It goes both ways I think.
