      Great place to grow and make an impact

      ChannelEngine is a fast-growing, international company with a lot of opportunities to learn and develop. The environment is dynamic and challenging, which makes the work interesting and impactful. You really feel that your contributions matter, and there’s room to take ownership and grow within your role. The culture is open and collaborative, with colleagues who are knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely willing to help each other. Communication is transparent, and leadership is approachable and focused on continuous improvement. I especially appreciate the international mindset, flexibility, and the focus on innovation. It’s a great place for people who enjoy working in a scale-up environment and want to grow alongside the company.

      Great for starters but this is not your place if you are already a Senior developer

      * Great colleagues (talking about devs here; other departments you don't want to mess with them) * Nice office atmosphere in a good location * Interesting field of work: e-commerce and marketplaces * Different teams, so you can switch if you wish * The CEO is a nice guy and very friendly. Also a real entrepreneur!

      Minpunten

      * Management below the CEO is crap, incompetent, arrogant and some of them stabbing you in the back. * Used to be a flat structure company, but many layers of managers of managers where introduced. Vertical hierarchy exists. * Most engineering leads have no clue of the product, neither what is expected from them. * New seniors and leads are hired, instead of giving chance to current employees . * Salaries below the standard for developers in the NL (... I am already earning 32% more compared to what I had at ChannelEngine) * No side perks except commute allowance and WFH allowance. * Depending on the team, it could be a repetitive work and not much to learn after a year or so. * Fast development of new features and integrations which has its consequences for a long time. * Never trust the management above you, nor your Engineering Lead. Sooner or later you will get back-stabbed and nobody will help you to progress. Don't listen to promises of salary raise or role promotion - they just want to keep you busy with words. * Stay away if you are already an experienced developer.

      A lot of freedom and flexibility

      Working at ChannelEngine gives you freedom to do your job as you please, including flexible work schedules. Have done multiple workations while working here!

      Minpunten

      Not everything is set in stone yet, some policies are yet to defined. That way of working is not for everyone, but if you are flexible as well you can make use of all the perks te company has to offer.
