Pluspunten

Good starting salary as a graduate (£32,000) and enjoyable work atmosphere. Within my market unit there was enough work to keep me busy so i was never on the bench. Even with that being said, i was rarely overworked. Due to my situation i was able to effectively wfh for 5 years, only going into the client office down south or in the midlands for a few days every 2-3 months (i was based in manchester)

Minpunten

Unless you're working in 'wider' Cap, i.e. not for a specific client-bound estate, progression can be very slow. Pay isn't terrible but doesn't quite meet market expectations. Moving between teams can be very difficult also. In my own experience i was assured several times that my request to migrate to another team (more fitting to my interests/career aspirations) would be honoured, nothing came of it. 18 months later, and still just empty promises that i could possibly move. Due to the size of the company, there's a lot of unnecessary bureaucracy. Every other month there's a important update on management restructuring or something of the sort.

Pluspunten

Pretty flexible. It's cool if you get on a project with a good client, because honestly you will become like a low-class employee at that company who they all dont care about and expect you not to be around very long so if you can deal with that then you can try and have a good time with them.

Minpunten

Honestly can't believe the audacity and entitlement of the middle management at this place. For example, last year everybody got about 3% merit raises (not at all keeping up with inflation but still something). This year, they were working with the same pool of funds to work with for raises, but made a "business decision" to consolidate the raises to only management. The rest of us got nothing. And the TOLD us they kept everything for themselves. And in addition to that, they twisted the knife by COMPLAINING to the whole department on a department call that their bonuses weren't enough. Just tone-deaf and careless mostly.
