Pluspunten
It was a remote position, and I really needed the money
Minpunten
Working at Oracle Navigator Successful was extremely chaotic. There were no established processes, and some managers held senior positions despite lacking the necessary experience. Meetings were scheduled entirely at the manager’s convenience, often based on personal preference rather than project needs. I did not encounter any truly senior developers; most were closer to mid-level or junior in skill. The project manager had no communication with stakeholders, and in my team specifically, the manager was largely absent. Deadlines were unrealistic—sometimes severely underestimated, making them impossible to meet, and other times heavily overestimated without reason. For that project in particular, there was no clear figure of authority. Managers struggled to coordinate with one another, and none had the technical expertise to meaningfully improve processes. The project lacked a dedicated architect, which was critically needed. Instead, the team was filled with juniors and interns, further impacting the project’s quality and efficiency.
