As part of a combined $140 million investment to address racial inequality, Nike, Converse, Jordan Brand and Michael Jordan will invest $1 million to support Goalsetter, the only youth financial literacy platform in the United States that is led by a Black female entrepreneur. Founded by Tanya Van Court, Goalsetter uses digital platforms to engage youth and help them better understand financial well-being, while saving for their future — all through fun games and support from celebrities, musicians and athletes. This partnership coincides with the rollout of $2.75 million in Black Community Commitment investments to local organizations focused on economic empowerment, education and social justice in seven U.S. cities, starting with Portland and New York City today.

In 2019 Nike and the WNBA teamed up to create Women in Nike (WIN), a program that provides dynamic work experience for retired or retiring WNBA players. Because our first run was so successful, we're running it back with a new class of players. Forbes recently named Jarvis Sam, VP of Global Diversity and Inclusion at Nike in its 30 Under 30 in the Sports category. Last year, Jarvis led the launch of two of our flagship talent programs: the Serena Design Crew, made up of a team of emergent New York City designers and the WIN program, to hire retired WNBA players into roles at Nike.
