Bureaucracy is at an all time high. The compliance work is stifling and a lot of it is manual copying and pasting the same information in Excel sheets and different IT systems with exactly the same info. Leadership has changed from an open and informal culture to a few bullies that are managing by putting more pressure on the already declining workforce. Work pressure is too high and with all the talk about work-life balance and wellbeing if you look closely the culture behind closed doors has nothing to do with employees best interest in mind. Micromanagement and forcing young people to travel to the office x days per week is not of this day and you will not survive if you continue like this. Unless ofcourse you want to outsource the complete IT staff to low wage countries. The CLA raise that was agreed is a joke. I am getting out

- ING Netherlands they really like their dutch employees, they get preferred treatment, invited to work on interesting and innovative projects, promoted. If you are not dutch (born in the Netherlands) you will be a 2nd sort. - a lot of old management that does not provide any benefit to anyone besides themselves - they treat Indian contractor employees as objects and are proud of it. Probably, Dutch colonial past plays a role - big chance that business people will treat you like a 2nd class person (if you are not Dutch) - no perspectives - no raise - most incompetent people (Dutch) gets promoted to the highest positions - they say that it's a tech company, its not true. They dont even ask programming questions on tech interviews - there are a lot of plainly incompetent long time employees with high titles that have very dated knowldege and dont know many things - competely incompetent managers (both people and project) is not a rare thing
